The Full Story
New this week
- Homepage My Team card shows this week in season: whether your lineup is set (and who's on bye or out), your record, next opponent, and one-tap Set Lineup, Free Agents, Trade Builder and Roster.
- The menu now opens with the pages you use most — Roster, Set Lineup, Live Scoring, Free Agents, Standings, Trade Builder and Tip Schefter — pinned at the top all year.
- The pages you use most now end with a card of related pages — Sunday Ticket on Live Scoring, Schedule and Playoffs on Standings, Ask Roger on Rules, and more.
- The homepage now spotlights the season's top scorer, with a one-tap link to Top Players.
- Search: results now rank by what owners actually open, so Tip Schefter and Set Lineup come up before rarely used pages.
- Roster and transaction moves made on MFL's own site now show up here within a minute, down from two.
- Standings got a new look: division leaders up top, a playoff picture of who is in and who is chasing, and all-play with a luck column.
- A new, lighter icon style across the site, with clearer menu icons for Roster, Live Scoring, the draft pages and more — and Tip Schefter now wears Schefter himself.
- The Rosters icon now wears number 16, one for each of the AFL's roster spots.
- The Live Scoring icon now reads 0-3, for the league founded in '03.
- Transactions is now Schefter's wire: every move gets his write-up, with the official record under See details, and past seasons tucked in a menu.
- Haven't voted in the Owners' Poll, or your ballot is a few weeks old? The homepage now opens a quick ballot, at most once a week.
Fixes & polish
- Rosters — AFL Rosters on a phone: position headers span the full card again, and the sort chips scroll inside it and read like TheLeague's ("Pts ↓").
- Rosters — Player sheet on Rosters: Trade block moved into the ⋮ menu with a label, the trade icon and a ✓ when he's on the block — the old unlabelled circle looked like it did nothing.
- Rosters — Player sheet on Rosters: This Week's Projected shows the projection alone again, instead of every stat run together.
- Schefter Report — Quieter GroupMe: the Pecking Order and Gauntlet posts are now one line and a link, and trade rumors stay in the news feed and opt-in push alerts.
- Schefter Report — Schefter can no longer use another league's name in AFL news, chat posts or notifications; the Week 5 Gauntlet headline now says the AFL.
- Schefter Report — Claude Schefter's chat posts and the Pecking Order page no longer show stray HTML tags like
around the blurbs.
- Admin — Owner Activity: moved pages like Draft Room are no longer listed as never opened, and articles and franchise pages show their names.
- Homepage — The home page headline now reads "Two conferences. One champ." instead of stopping at "One.".
- Owners' Poll — Teams you've ranked on your Owners' Poll ballot keep their record, points and all-play next to them, so reordering never means scrolling back to compare.
- Design System & Theming — Pages no longer flash an unstyled, oversized logo for a moment while they load.
- Set Lineup — Set Lineup now lists what's wrong with your lineup (IR violations, empty slots, starters on bye or out) and takes you straight to the fix, including a refused save.
Everything above shipped in the week of Oct 7-13. Older weeks are in the archive, and the how-to pages for each feature live in the guides.
