Last Seen Now Knows When You Were On MFL
The Owner Activity page used to know one thing about you: whether you had loaded a page on this site. It now also knows when you last logged into MFL — an actual timestamp, straight from MFL — and ranks everybody by whichever happened more recently. Owners who live inside MFL and rarely come here stop showing up as ghosts.
The Full Story
There has always been a hole in Owner Activity. It measured exactly one thing — whether you had opened a page on this site — and then cheerfully labeled anyone who hadn't as Dormant. Which was fine, except that half this league does its business inside MFL and only wanders over here to look at rosters or check the standings once a month. Those owners were logging in, setting lineups and working the wire, and getting a red dot for it.
So Last Seen now watches both. MFL keeps its own last-login timestamp for every franchise, and the page reads it: your row is ranked by whichever came later, your last visit here or your last time on MFL. Each row shows its work — the blended time up top with a small badge saying which one won, then both raw numbers underneath, plus what your most recent roster move was and when. An owner sitting at "Site: never" and "MFL: 4h ago" is exactly the person this was built to stop mislabeling.
There is a nice bit of trivia buried in this one. That last-login number is not in MFL's documentation. It is not in any of their fifty-nine published data feeds, and it is not in the franchise record everybody else can see — we checked sixty other leagues to be sure. It turns up only when the request comes from a commissioner, which is how it sat there unnoticed for years. It syncs over every six hours now.
For the leagues and moments where that number isn't available, the page falls back to your last roster move — a trade, a free agent pickup, a waiver claim, an auction bid, an IR or taxi shuffle. Two things it deliberately never counts: moves the commissioner made on your behalf, because the commish fixing your lineup is not evidence you were awake, and the league-wide automatic stuff like the kickoff lock and the scheduled waiver run, which fires for every team in the league every week and would have made everybody look permanently active.
