How these are counted
- The #1 seed is the team that took the first-round bye in that season's championship bracket, read off the games actually played. MFL's standings row order is not seed order when two teams tie on record — the bye went to the second row in 2008 and 2010.
- The champion's seed is worth reading with one thing in mind: seeds 1–4 go to the four division winners whatever their record, and 5–7 to the wild cards. So a 4 seed is not the fourth-best team — it's the division winner with the weakest claim, and it has won more titles here than the 1 seed has.
- All-play is every team measured against every other team's score, week by week, through the last regular-season week. MFL publishes an all-play figure but it spans the playoff weeks too, which would let a champion's own title run inflate the number this page is testing.
- Every bracket is verified against the league's championship history before it counts, and a season is only published once exactly one bracket fits the games that were played. A season we can't pin down that precisely is refused rather than guessed at.
