Boom! Here is your Week 6 Gauntlet, and I'm told the road ahead for Computer Jocks is the nastiest in The League. They sit at difficulty 64 with remaining opponents averaging 111.6 points per game, and that number has not budged. Check out the full the Gauntlet rankings to see where every contender stands.
Dark Magicians of Chaos are right behind them at difficulty 62, facing remaining opponents averaging 109.3 PPG. Fire Ready Aim got harder, climbing to difficulty 57 after their schedule picked up two points of heat. If you're trying to figure out who has a real buzz saw coming, the standings will tell you who is already in the mix, and the the trade builder is where I'd go if you think your cap sheet can survive that stretch.
Now the schedule luck stories, and this is where the Gauntlet gets fun. Maverick is 0-8 against a brutal slate with a past difficulty of 55, and Music City Mafia is 1-7 against a past difficulty of 58. Dead Cap Walking is 1-7 against a past difficulty of 52. Those records are lying to you, plain and simple, and the bad luck is real.
Week 6 is the league-wide wall with average opponent difficulty at 53, so nobody gets a free ride this week. The Mariachi Ninjas are the biggest riser, jumping four spots as their schedule got harder. Running down the Dream is the biggest faller, dropping three spots as the road got easier. Money is nice, but championships are better, and if you need a quick fix, the free agent board is where the next move starts, with every add signing at no less than the $425K league-minimum salary.
